The
Parish of Santo Antônio resulted from the merger of the parishes of
S. Joseph, Heart of Jesus and St.
Mamede is located right in the heart of Lisbon, part of the
Historical Center of Lisbon.
The parish of
Santo Antônio is the third least populated parish in the municipality (municipality) of Lisbon.

The parish of
Santo Antônio, a noble neighborhood in Lisbon, peaceful and well served by transport
utilities and other services, is considered one of the best places to live in the Portuguese capital.

metro and Carris buses), safe and clean.
A bit of history
A place of great importance for the history of Lisbon and Portugal, the parish of Santo Antonio, has its origins in the
Middle Ages: "At the end of the 12th century, and under the authority of the Bishopric of Lisbon, the ten
first parishes (delimited land, in the city or in the countryside, where individuals who followed the
same cult, having as main point the temple or the main church). In 1247, São Mamede, famous
for housing the Lisbon Botanical Garden and the National Press Building. It is the oldest of the parishes
that today make up that of Santo António" [JF de Santo Antôio].
More recently, the
Parish of Santo Antônio
was created in 2012, with the merger of the parishes of
S. Joseph, Heart of Jesus and Saint Mamede.
