Vinemaking Villages
The
Vinhateira Villages consist of a selection of typical villages or lanes of the Douro Wine Region of interest to visitors
for its state of preservation and richness of details of the life of the people of the Douro. "About 600 clusters were chosen
that exist in the region, the ones chosen to integrate this project were Barcos, Favaios, Provesende, Ucanha, Salzedas
and Trevões – selected for their rare beauty and for their history and tradition clearly linked to wine and vineyards.” (CM MF).
