Wine of Dão

The prestigious Dão Wines (DOC) are produced in the lands of Beira Alta, where they occupy an area of approximately 20,000 ha of vineyards on a plateau protected by mountains whose altitudes do not exceed 700m. Here is the cradle of the Touriga Nacional grape variety and from here come the famous and elegant wines of Dão.

Touriga Nacional

Among the grapes used for the production of Dão, the Touriga Nacional (reds) stands out, which gives the wine its strong personality, and the Malvasia Fina (white).

Lands of Dão

The Sierras do Caramulo and Bussaco protect from the winds the plateau where Dão's vineyards are spread. The land where the vines grow, the climate and the knowledge of the vine growers combine to offer the best of the wine of this region, whatever the elegance and the flavors that distinguish it.
