Currently, almost all of Beira Litoral is part of the
Center Region.
The municipalities belong to the current districts of
Aveiro,
Coimbra,
Leiria and
Santarém (only the municipality of Ourém, where the Sanctuary of Fátima is
located).

Bathed by the Atlantic Ocean to the west, Beira Litoral is limited to the north by the Douro Litoral,
to the east with Beira Alta and Beira Baixa, to the southeast with Ribatejo, and to the southwest with Estremadura (Lisbon).
