Lafões Wines
The vineyards of Lafões DOC extend through the lands of the Center of Portugal, in the District of Viseu and, more precisely, in the
municipalities of Oliveira de Frades, São Pedro do Sul and Vouzela, along the Vouga River Valley.

Vouga Valley
The Lafões vineyards total an area of 39,000 ha that are spread in small plots.
Lafões Wine
The Lafões wines are characterized by having a minimum alcohol volume of 9.5% and a minimum fixed acidity (expressed as tartaric acid [1])
of 5.0g per liter.
White wine - it is a limpid wine, gas detachment may occur. Citric to lightly golden, it is a very aromatic wine, with an acidic and fruity
taste.
Red Wine - Clear, gas detachment may occur, ruby to violet color, aromatics, acidity and some astringency.
Traditional Mentions
In addition to D.O.C. And D.O., other terms used for this wine include: Superior, Reserva, Garrafeira, Selección and Selected Harvest.
