Colares Wines
The vineyards of Colares DOC, "one of the most original and alternative denominations of Portugal" [1], are in the northwest region
of Lisbon, and produce few wines. Among the characteristics of these wines of the Serra de Sintra, we highlight that they are planted
in sand and use local variety, to Ramisco (for reds).

Full bodied reds
DOC red wines Necklaces are ruby, rough and astringent when new. But, with age, they gain extraordinary aroma, soften and acquire a
beautiful tonality "onion peel" [1].
Variety of Breeds
For the production of the Colares Wine, several national varieties are used, among which: Ramisco (purely local caste) for the reds,
Malvasia for the whites. Besides Castelão (reds).
Excellent Whites
These white wines with a lot of tradition are considered one of the best in the country.
