The vineyards of Carcavelos DOC, in the western region of Lisbon, produce few wines because their lands are increasingly coveted by
real estate developers in Lisbon. Main varieties: Arinto, Fernão Pires (white), Aragonez, Touriga (red).

Smallest wine region
DOC Carcavelos is the smallest wine region in Portugal, with ha of vineyards.
Variety of Breeds
For the production of the Carcavelos wine, several national grape varieties are used: Boal Branco, Malvasia Fina, Ratinho, Seara Nova,
Arinto, Rabo de Ovelha, Trincadeira, Castelao, Amostrinha, Galego Dourado, Negra Mole and Preto Martinho, among others breeds.
White liqueur wines
The DOC Carcavelos white wines have a beautiful color between yellowish and golden-laden straw. As for the aroma, it is possible to
notice the absence of defect, being slightly fruity (white); Aroma with a certain distinction, fine or typical and distinct or
typical intense aroma.
Red wines Carcavelos
As for the red wine, it has a color between ruby and topaz, being a delicate wine, velvety, with a certain almondy aroma, with accentuated
perfume and characteristic with the aging.
